Following the bizarre head-butting incident, where he reportedly attacked - without provocation - a fashion designer at a party in NYC on Monday night, Kiefer Sutherland has agreed to surrender himself to authorities as early as today, Thursday, when he’ll be charged with third degree assault.

He will be issued a “desk appearance ticket,” which means that he won’t be jailed and he is free to travel prior to his arraignment.

A police source said, “When the lawyer realized paparazzi could be sitting on his [Sutherland's] doorstep for two to three weeks, suddenly he wanted to come in right away and make it all go away.” And a friend said, “Kiefer is sorry it happened. Absolutely. It’s terribly regrettable.”

Douchey Sutherland should have taken a second to think about that before he went into the head-butt!
